Ever since her childhood years of watching Star Trek and playing with a rubix cube, Trudy Miller had been waiting around for the perfect future-forward wardrobe to show up, but with extreme comfort, flexibility, and more room for individuation. In 2006, she decided she couldn't wait any longer, so she put on her solutionista thinking cape and got on the case.

Today she is proud to introduce TRUDY MILLER LAYERS, a utilitarian chic wardrobe system that celebrates the joy of having it all, in the tiniest package possible.

Rethinking Body Image

 Most of us have some areas we want to downplay, and other areas we want to showcase. The key concept behind TML is that smart clothing should be able to do both at the same time (...or whatever you want it to do) so you always look great, and never look like you're 'hiding'. The fabrics are luxurious, size friendly and body positive, allowing for the various cyclical fluctuations that occur in a woman's body throughout her lifetime, including pregnancy, weight loss, and weight gain.

Rethinking Sustainability: Zero Waste Extended Wear Clothing

 

A large part of TML's agenda was to use the same universal design strategies that are being used in architectural design and construction - to serve the needs of many while reducing negative environmental impact. Like timeless works of architecture, all our garments are trans-seasonal for year round wear.  Additionally,  all tmL patterns are zero waste, so nothing but the selvedge goes into the trash.
